New Capabilities of Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V
The latest release of Tripwire Enterprise, version 7.5V, significantly extends Tripwire's ability to provide configuration control of virtual and physical IT configurations within a single software solution.
Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V adds a whole new level of visibility, security and compliance to virtual environments by continuously monitoring ESX hypervisors, VM containers and Virtual Switches and ensuring they meet policy requirements as described by CIS, PCI, DISA STIG and VMware Hardening guidelines. In addition, Tripwire Enterprise now integrates with VMware Virtual Center, which enables the auto-discovery, tracking, alerting and reporting of changes among virtual objects, using the same group hierarchy structure as described within Virtual Center.
Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V also provides a number of usability enhancements, including an updated user interface, new customizable home pages, new policy templates and two new reports.

- Enhanced Virtual Infrastructure Support - Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V adds node types for Virtual Machines and vSwitches and links monitored workloads running on VMs within the VI hierarchy to improve Tripwire's ability to harvest, assess, and monitor configuration and change information.
- Auto-Discovery of VMware Virtual Infrastructure - Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V integrates and periodically synchronizes with VMware vCenterTM to automatically discover and import VI inventory information into Tripwire Enterprise.
- Dynamic Virtual Infrastructure Control - Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V automatically begins monitoring VI objects immediately upon discovery to ensure a secure and compliant state.
- Role-based Home Pages - Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V provides fully customizable, role-based home pages that can be assigned to specific roles and users, providing the exact security and compliance information each user requires.
- Updated User Interface - Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V offers a new UI that dramatically streamlines the task bar, modernizes the look and feel and helps improve the overall usability of the product.
- New Configuration Assessment Policies - Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V adds new virtualization security policies as well as new compliance policy templates for NERC and Microsoft Security Guide.
- New Reports - Tripwire Enterprise 7.5V delivers two new out-of-the-box reports: The Unmonitored Node Report provides visibility of any VI nodes that are not currently being monitored, and the Composite Change Report simplifies change reporting by combining all related change elements together.
